Ecocert unterscheidet zwischen Natur- und Biokosmetik (source):
- Um als natürlich gekennzeichnet zu werden, muss ein Produkt zu 50 % aus pflanzlichem Material bestehen, mindestens 5 % aller Rohstoffe müssen aus biologischem Anbau stammen.
- Um als biologisch gekennzeichnet zu werden, muss ein Produkt zu 95 % aus natürlichem Material und zu 10 % aus biologischem Anbau bestehen.
Viele Inhaltsstoffe, wie Silikone und synthetische Inhaltsstoffe, sind nicht erlaubt.
